Cookies, Pixels, and Targeted Advertising

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. These tools help us understand how visitors use our website, measure advertising performance, and show more relevant advertising.

We use social-media advertising partners, including LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s Insight Tag and similar tools may collect or receive information about your visit to our website, such as pages visited, browser and device information, IP address, referring website, and timestamp. This information may be used to measure advertising results, create website-visitor audiences, and show Association GC advertisements to relevant audiences on LinkedIn or other social-media services.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, our disclosure of certain online identifiers and internet activity information to social-media advertising partners for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some state privacy laws.

You may manage many advertising preferences through your browser settings and through the privacy and advertising controls offered by LinkedIn and other social-media platforms. You may also contact us using the information below to request to opt out of targeted advertising by Association GC where applicable law gives you that right.

How We Share Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers that help us operate our website, manage events, send communications, maintain business systems, or provide other support services;

  • Social-media and advertising partners, including LinkedIn, to measure advertising and provide more relevant advertising;

  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and similar business partners when reasonably necessary;

  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property; and

  • A successor organization in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

When you interact directly with LinkedIn or another social-media platform, that platform’s own privacy policy also applies to its collection and use of your information.

Payment Information

Association GC does not collect or store payment-card information through this website. If an event or service requires payment, payment processing is handled through a separate third-party payment provider. That provider’s privacy policy and terms govern its handling of payment information.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted-advertising uses of your personal information.

To make a privacy request or unsubscribe from marketing communications, email info@association.law with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email. Opting out of marketing messages will not prevent us from sending important non-promotional communications, such as event-registration confirmations.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to administer events, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, system, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our website, events, and services are intended for adults and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Links to Other Websites

Our website and LinkedIn presence may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
