G.C. Murray II selected for National Professionalism Award

The American Bar Association's Center for Professional Responsibility and Young Lawyer Division have selected G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL, CEO & managing partner of Association GC, as the 2022 Rosner & Rosner Young Lawyer Professionalism Award recipient. The annual award honors a young lawyer's commitment to legal and judicial ethics, lawyer professionalism, client protection, and professional regulation.

G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL, a nationally recognized nonprofit and association lawyer and executive coach, will receive a complimentary lifetime membership in the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility, complimentary registration for the Center’s National Conference on Professional Responsibility Conference, and a complimentary subscription to the ABA/BNA Lawyers’ Manual on Professional Conduct.

"I aspired to be known by others as a lawyer who was loyal to the rule of law. [...] Candidly, much of my success comes from internalizing and implementing the lessons of my mentors. These men and women, starting with my father and mother, encouraged me to authentically work at being an ambassador to our profession and a resource to the public. This national award affirms that I am on the right pathway," Murray said.

The American Bar Association has previously recognized Murray as one of its inaugural Top 40 under 40 lawyers in the profession. He has won numerous awards for leadership, mentorship, and service during his young career. He is a national Jefferson Award recipient. Most recently, he was awarded the 2021 Lynn B. Futch Most Productive Young Lawyer by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and the 2021 Young Floridian of the Year by former U.S. Senator Bob Graham’s Center for Public Service.

"I believe this well-mannered, hard-working young attorney exemplifies the highest ideals that this award represents. G.C. exhibits high standards of professionalism; and has participated in activities that promote interaction and collegiality among the bench and bar members," wrote Judge Nina Ashenafi-Richardson, who nominated Murray for the award. "He expends a tremendous amount of time working to raise the bar on professionalism, ethics, mentoring, and creating educational and community enrichment programs at both the local and state level."

The award will be presented to Attorney Murray during the National Conference on Professional Responsibility on June 2, 2022, as well as during the American Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division Assembly at its annual meeting.
