On October 2, 2018, G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL presented The Ballot in Practice: How the Constitutional Amendments affect the Rule of Law through the Tallahassee Bar Association. This presentation provided an insider’s view of the 2018 constitutional amendments at the Florida State University College of Law.
Murray offered an interactive explanation of the constitutional amendments on the November 2018 ballot, exploring the legal cases surrounding these amendments. Murray further discussed the potential impact of the amendments and ramifications for practitioners and educators alike.
The presentation afforded the rare opportunity to gain insider information regarding who was behind each amendment and what their rationale may be.
Murray has served as the Deputy General Counsel, Special Counsel, and Director of Membership at the Florida Justice Association. In addition to his work at the Florida Justice Association, Murray operates Association GC which focuses on nonprofit management, consulting, and legislative advocacy.
Murray’s community leadership roles including serving as Governor for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, member of Leadership Tallahassee Class 32, and Leadership Florida Connect Class VII. Murray also founded the Innovative Community Engagement (ICE) Foundation which serves communities in Tallahassee, South Florida, Orlando, Naples, Jacksonville, Washington D.C., and Chicago. The ICE Foundation provides mentorship, service, and professional development in its servicing communities.
